2024 Honduras Tech Center Matching Challenge
Our ChildHope partner pastors and educators in Honduras say that prevocational education is crucial to giving children HOPE and a brighter future. If students leave school with basic marketable skills, they can go to work right away — and steady employment will give them an economic advantage today plus a foundation for the days ahead.
We want to establish the Prevocational Tech Center at El Buen Pastor School in El Progreso, Honduras — a tech training center for students in 7th through 9th grades to take prevocational workshops in subjects such as:
- Metal working
- Electronics
- Cosmetology
- Culinary arts
- Sewing
Already students and families have done much to prepare the campus. The need right now is to complete and outfit 4 classrooms, a $60,000 project … that will impact children in Honduras for years to come — and which can be a model for our other schools in the region, too.
Friends of ChildHope have donated $30,000 in matching funds that will DOUBLE every donation to help start this Prevocational Tech Center!
